Viet Ha Tran is a Vietnam-born and Spain-based fine art photographer known for her emotionally dense and endlessly compelling photographs of women. Her art emphasizes fantasy and imagination as a source of aesthetic experience. Instead of taking photos, she tries to paint women’s emotions, inner dreams, intimacy, poetry and philosophy with her camera. As a result, her photos, apart from having an air of classic paintings, capture an ephemeral moment of feminine emotions flowing through the river of time. As reality plays hide-and-seek with fantasy, it’s a reflection of those volatile moods etched in the permanent state of change.

Starting photography in 2013, Viet Ha´s artworks have made presence on over 1210 newspapers and magazines worldwide including Expansión, El Economista, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair France, The Times of India, The Hindu, Vietnam News, at Saatchi Gallery London, and were auctioned by Christie’s Hong Kong for charity. She is listed as global artist by Artprice, the world leader in art market information, and represented by Art+Commerce / Vogue Italia – the joint project of the largest global photo agency based in New York and the prestigious Vogue Italia.

She is currently represented by Galerie Sophie Lanöe (Paris), My Web’Art (Hong Kong), and The Great Banyan Art (New Delhi), and two top Spanish auction houses: Durán (Madrid) and Setdart (Barcelona). Her artworks have appeared in a multitude of curated collections by Chief Curator of Saatchi Art, the world’s largest online gallery. Her artwork also appeared on prestigious art platforms such as Artsy, Widewalls and Amazon Fine Art.

Viet Ha was semi-finalist in the Spanish National Digital Photography Contest 2013, and won Honorable Mentions in Fine Art Categories of the International Photography Awards 2013, Los Angeles. She was invited by Vogue Italia to photograph for Vogue Talents Shooting in early 2014. Later in 2014, her works appeared at Brighton Photo Biennial, UK’s largest photography festival.

Viet Ha holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Ritsumeikan APU (Japan), and a Master in Marketing Management from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain). She has received educational courses in art and photography at Prado Museum (Madrid), European Cultural Academy Venice, WeCollect Club (Madrid) and EFTI International Centre for Photography and Cinema (Madrid).

At present, her works are collected by a wide range of collectors around the world including galleries, art dealers, luxury hotels, and individual collectors.
